"Baroque autour de Bach" (Baroque around Bach)

Program created at request of the Musique et Patrimoine (Music and heritage) festival in Senlis 

Bach is the centerpiece of the program, featuring excerpts  of oratorios and instrumental music for piano. These works captivate us with their intellectual complexity and melodic lines. 

Contemporary composers of Bach excelled in theatrical styles. We performed various arias by Purcell, Handel, Vivaldi, and Rameau. The piano, although not yet invented in the early 18th century, serves as a condensed orchestra, enabling us to bring this beautiful opera repertoire to life in more intimate and smaller venues.
